Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) in Saint Charles, IL

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience Valid teaching license with appropriate Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred Strong collaboration skills to work with teams of teachers, interventionists, and parents Effective communication skills in both spoken and written English; sign language proficiency is a plus Ability to travel between assigned school sites as an itinerant teacher (mileage reimbursed) Primary Responsibilities Deliver direct instruction and support to DHH students in accordance with their IEPs Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learner needs Consult with general education teachers and staff to support student access and inclusion Guide students in the development of self‑advocacy, communication, and social skills Complete progress monitoring and required documentation Communicate regularly with families to foster meaningful educational partnerships This position values your expertise and dedication, offering a supportive professional community, flexibility in assignments, and reimbursement for travel between sites.
