As a Physical Therapist Assistant, youll contribute to our success in the following ways:

• Promotes Elara Carings philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
• Performs direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and certified by the patients physician to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Follows Plan of Care as established by the supervising Physical Therapist and reports any changes in status.
• Adheres to State Practice Act Guidelines and verifies Plan of Care prior to each visit.
• Incorporates patient care goals into therapy care.
• Instructs patients and families in safe use of assistive devices and home therapy programs.
• Works in a physically demanding environment and may need to lift or transfer patients.
• May work irregular hours including call hours if applicable.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• 6+ months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Able and willing to travel within the coverage area (approximately 50%).
• Must have a dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance in accordance with state laws.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including transferring patients and moving equipment.
