Wolfgang Confectioners currently has an opening for a Sanitation Team Member at our Camp Hill Facility .

The sanitation team member will be a part of a cleaning crew whose duties are to perform a variety of cleaning/sanitation functions on equipment and the facility environment, to meet food safety and quality standards. The sanitation position has a basic understanding of the equipment and the equipment's function along with chemical application awareness and can perform basic equipment breakdowns. Must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions under pressure. Works under direction of the Sanitation Supervisor and Lead Person as appropriate. Work is routinely reviewed for soundness of judgment, adequacy and accuracy. Scope of job duties are complex and quality of work contributes to department production and to the success of the company.

Requirements

• Operate wash machines, low/high pressure hoses, and chemicals.
• Manually clean equipment and maintain clean work areas.
• Understand and follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) and guidelines as they refer to the proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
• Understand the equipment and equipment's function along with chemical application awareness and can perform basic equipment breakdowns.
• Operates powered industrial vehicles (PIVs).
• Set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions under pressure.
• Follow a master sanitation schedule.
• Understand and follow chemical usage and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Accurately performs and records daily checklists.
• Follows Company established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to assure product quality.
• Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.
• Report any food safety and quality concerns immediately. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Professional cleaning experience, required. Experience in production or manufacturing sanitation, preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be comfortable working at heights, including on ladders and scissor lifts.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
• Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to work well with others
