Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position is located in Overland Park, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized emergency care in a busy, non-trauma emergency department that functions as a primary stroke and STEMI center. The ER Nurse will deliver acute patient management, including stroke, cardiac, and general emergency care, with a focus on patient stabilization and safety during each shift. Job Details Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience, Kansas or Missouri compact license or active license, certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC. Additional preferred certifications include CPI and MAB. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with management of multisystem organ failure, arterial line management, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, and working in a STEMI or Stroke Certified Facility. Float: Float rotation may be required within scope between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities as needed. Additional Information: The position requires working in a primary stroke and STEMI center, managing a patient census of approximately 50, and providing care for a variety of patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
