Senior Manager - AI Network Engineering

Salary: $169,800 - 355,400 per year Requirements:

• We require a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• We are seeking 15+ years of experience in systems, networking, distributed computing, HPC, GPU infrastructure, or a similar area.
• We need substantial experience leading engineering teams accountable for complex hardware and software systems.
• We value deep expertise in high-performance networking, including Ethernet, RDMA, RoCE, PCIe, DMA, and current NIC architectures.
• We expect strong knowledge of GPU systems, distributed GPU communication, collective communication methods, and large-scale distributed training or HPC environments.
• We prefer experience guiding new hardware technologies from early engineering through qualification and large-scale production rollout.
• We look for strong systems performance-analysis capability across hardware, firmware, operating systems, networking, runtimes, and applications.
• We expect experience working with silicon vendors and directing complex cross-functional engineering programs.
• We require excellent technical and executive-level communication skills.
• Experience with NCCL, MPI, UCX, RDMA, RoCEv2, GPUDirect RDMA, CUDA, SmartNICs/DPUs, NIC firmware/drivers, congestion control, and large-scale AI cluster networking is highly desirable.
• Experience with GPU clusters ranging from thousands to tens of thousands of accelerators is strongly preferred.

• We will ask you to lead the full NPI lifecycle for current and next-generation high-performance NICs supporting OCI GPU and AI infrastructure, covering architecture, qualification, performance, reliability, and production readiness.
• We will expect you to partner with NIC, GPU, silicon, and systems vendors, as well as internal OCI teams, to introduce new networking technologies from early development through fleet-scale deployment.
• We will have you build and lead the engineering organization behind OCIs Collective Communication Library, setting its architecture, technical direction, and performance plan.
• We will rely on you to improve collective communication, RDMA, GPU networking, and topology-aware algorithms across servers, racks, clusters, and AI superclusters.
• We will expect you to own GPU cluster networking performance and develop benchmarking, modeling, and performance-analysis capabilities to uncover and remove hardware and software bottlenecks.
• We will have you drive hardware and software co-design across NICs, firmware, drivers, network fabrics, runtimes, and collective communication software.
• We will expect you to establish automated qualification, regression, performance, reliability, and fault-testing processes to support cloud-scale production readiness.
• We will look to you to build and develop a high-performing engineering organization spanning NIC NPI, networking software, collective communications, systems, performance engineering, and validation.
• We will ask you to lead complex cross-functional programs, define technical roadmaps and engineering metrics, manage external technology partnerships, and present technical strategy, risks, and outcomes to senior OCI leadership.
