SUMMARY

Performs professional accounting functions supporting the district's financial accounting and reporting activities under the direction of the Senior Accounting Manager. Responsible for day-to-day accounting analysis, reconciliations, reporting preparation, and technical accounting support to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with adherence to applicable laws, regulations, accounting standards, District policies and internal controls. Promotes sound financial management across the district through accurate financial reporting and financial management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field
  AND
  Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience in the public sector or governmental accounting.
  OR
  Six (6) years of professional accounting experience
• One (1) year of supervisory experience
• One (1) year of customer service experience
• Knowledge and experience with governmental ERP systems like Oracle, Tyler, SAP, Infinite Visions or similar.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards
• Board (GASB) and governmental auditing standards.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to read and comprehend written, graphic, and oral instructions
• Knowledge and ability to use word-processing, spreadsheet, and database programs

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in School District or governmental accounting functions
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Managers (CGFM) or Certified
• Administrator of School Finance & Operations (SFO)

COMMENTS
Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION: District Office - 1010 E Tenth St
FTE : 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
