Job Description SCOPE: An Ultrasonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, patient care, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. The Ultrasound Technologist must operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures. Functions Perform Diagnostic Ultrasound Examinations Maintaining and Operating Ultrasound Equipment Patient Care and Safety Documentation and Record Keeping Collaboration and Communication Qualifications Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology. Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Sonography Active ARRT certification in Radiography required Active Radiography certification through the LSTRBE required Active Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Active BLS CPR required Strong technical skills and knowledge of diagnostic medical sonography equipment and procedures #J-18808-Ljbffr Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center
