Heavy Equipment Shop MechanicHiFyve is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic in the construction equipment industry in Wilson, NC! Salary: Up to $40/hr Shift: Full-Time – 1st Shift, Monday–Friday Location: On-site – Wilson, NCPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining construction machinery, specifically Hitachi and Case equipment. This position is responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and component rebuilds in a fast-paced shop environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically driven, safety-focused, and thrives in a collaborative team setting.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems on Hitachi and Case equipmentPerform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment rebuilds as neededUtilize OEM diagnostic software and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair issues accuratelyComplete all repair documentation, work orders, and service reports with attention to detailMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment that meets company and OSHA standardsSupport other technicians and collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure timely repair turnaroundParticipate in continuous improvement and training initiatives to stay current on equipment technologyExperience Requirements3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role in the construction equipment industryStrong working knowledge of Hitachi and Case equipment preferredAbility to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic resultsDemonstrated skill in troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systemsWelding and fabrication experience a plusKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilitySelf-motivated with a commitment to quality workmanshipExcellent communication and teamwork skillsSafety-minded with attention to detail and pride in craftsmanshipAbility to adapt to changing priorities and repair challengesIf you are interested, please apply.
