Registered Nurse Mother Baby / Postpartum

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and deliver postpartum and mother/baby nursing care according to established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor vital signs and fetal conditions, promptly addressing any deviations from normal.
  
  
• 
  Educate new mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in a mother/baby or postpartum unit.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification; NRP certification required.
  
  
• 
  Proven ability to perform clinical assessments and respond effectively to emergencies.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication and patient education skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work varied shifts, including major holidays and minor holidays as required.
  
  
• 
  Excellent teamwork and multitasking capabilities.
