Route Driver Trainer (Monday -Friday) - CDL Experienced

We are looking for an experienced Driver Trainer / Utility Driver to be our go-to transportation professional in Salt Lake City. This role is ideal for someone who knows the job inside and out, can train new drivers, and is willing to jump into any route or assignment when needed. They will also have 3+ years of CDL Box Truck driving experience and a Class B License.

This is not a desk job. We need someone who can step into a truck at a moment's notice, cover open routes, assist during staffing shortages, train and mentor new drivers, and handle overnight or extended routes as business demands . The right candidate is dependable, adaptable, and takes pride in being the person the team can count on when challenges arise.

LOCATION : 2950 S 900 W, South Salt Lake, UT 84119

• Train and coach new and existing drivers on safe driving practices, DOT compliance, route efficiency, customer service, and company procedures.
• Assist Transport Supervisor with daily operations and oversight of driving team
• Assist transportation leadership with onboarding and development of drivers.
• Conduct ride-alongs and provide hands-on driver training and performance feedback.
• Cover open routes due to vacations, call-offs, staffing shortages, or business needs.
• Safely collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner ( straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long )
• Ensure compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety requirements.
• Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise
• Loading and unloading | Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs
• Managing a route per leaderships direction | delivering timely, efficient and effective service
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Heavy lifting!

• Class B license with a clean driving record and valid DOT medical card
• Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain required
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• 3 years of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks
• Registered with DACH
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
