Insurance Premium Payment Associate

Sentara Health Plans Insurance Premium Payment Associate Full-time, Day Shift Standard Working Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST, Monday-Friday, with a hybrid schedule requiring 2 days a week in office. No weekends required. Position Location: 2 in-office days (Hybrid work schedule) at Sentara Park 1300 in Virginia Beach. Responsibilities Responds to record and process telephonic payment inquiries throughout the day in a higher volume call queue environment. Responsible for taking both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. Responsible to work in multiple computer programs at a time. Must be able to maintain a high level of service to customers while managing changing volume demands of the call center. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Certification/Licensure No specific certification or licensure requirements. Experience 1-year customer service experience required. Payment and/or Billing experience in healthcare is highly preferred. Computer skills & strong verbal skills in English required. Must have experience in a call center & be detail-oriented, highly preferred. Healthcare environment experience a plus.
