Location: Alexandria, Louisiana

Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees available, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Mixed cardiac and medical ICU environment with diverse patient population including DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator management
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients
• Required experience with advanced critical care equipment: Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, post-op cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT
• No floating required; no on-call responsibilities
• Two positions available with potential for temp-to-permanent placement
• Overtime available after 48 hours

Requirements:

• Active RN License in Louisiana or compact state
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS certification from AHA (required)
• One year of Critical Care experience preferred; new graduates considered
• Demonstrated competency with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients, and CRRT
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
