Start Date: June/July Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Full-Time Hours Setting: Outpatient Family Practice Clinic Contract Type: 1099 Government Contractor (Locum) Duration: Up to 1 year with extension options Learn more about the facility: Position Overview The Family Practice Physician will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across the lifespan, with a focus on improving health outcomes in the American Indian and Alaska Native population. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and medical histories Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging Prescribe medications in accordance with IHS formulary guidelines Provide patient education on disease prevention and health maintenance Coordinate referrals using the Patient Referred Care (PRC) process Collaborate with clinical staff on quality improvement initiatives Follow all IHS infection control and safety protocols Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity What We Offer Long-term, stable contract with extension potential Consistent weekday schedule – no weekends or holidays Competitive compensation Opportunity to serve a rural and underserved population Supportive clinical environment Open to local and travel candidates Additional Information Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine Minimum of 2 years of experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory Current DEA registration Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification ACLS and PALS preferred Experience with Indian Health Services (IHS) or tribal healthcare systems preferred Experience working in rural or underserved settings preferred Must be a U.S. citizen residing primarily in the United States Must be able to pass a federal background/security clearance Proof of education (diploma or transcripts required) #J-18808-Ljbffr Eastern Shawnee Staffing Solutions
