Ready to Lead Drafting Excellence in Ball Ground, GA?
Do you instinctively spot a missing tolerance? Do you enjoy coaching drafters while tackling complex commercial millwork and metal details yourself? If leading with both rigor and empathy sounds like you, let’s talk.
What You’ll Tackle- Guide a drafting team producing detailed drawings, assemblies, and specs for commercial projects.
- Partner with engineers and project managers to translate requirements into build-ready designs.
- Review/approve shop drawings, offering clear, constructive feedback.
- Own and evolve CAD standards, templates, and best practices.
- Contribute ideas in design reviews that improve manufacturability and product performance.
- Train and onboard new team members in CAD tools and drafting techniques.
- Balance multiple deadlines while defending quality.
- Bachelor’s in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or similar—OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in technical drafting/CAD design focused on millwork and metal .
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Microvellum ; familiarity with SolidWorks or comparable tools.
- Deep understanding of engineering principles, materials, fabrication, and manufacturing.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
- Detail-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of commercial construction .
- Innergy experience.
- Location: Ball Ground, GA (on-site collaboration with engineering and PM teams)
- CAD software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microvellum.
