Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions, and other administrative tasks as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities Identify and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices according to company policies and procedures Perform monthly reconciliations Maintain all vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures Perform data entry associated with accounts payable Maintain accurate historical records Provide supporting documentation for audits Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies Address and respond to vendor inquiries Maintain confidentiality of organizational information Other tasks may be assigned as needed Requirements Proven experience, a minimum of 1 to 3 years related experience; or Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting Solid understanding of basic accounting principles Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong analytic abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, specifically Excel Estimated Min Rate: $20.00; Estimated Max Rate: $23.00 Benefits Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision Benefits (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Health Savings Account (HSA) (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Life & Disability Insurance (for employees working 20+ hours per week) MetLife Voluntary Benefits Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401K Retirement Savings Plan Direct Deposit & weekly payroll Referral Bonus Programs Certification and training opportunities Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
