Provide, promote, and maintain quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit through adherence to clinical standards, professional development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient-centered care for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Initiate and document a comprehensive plan of care within established timeframes
Perform patient interventions proficiently and demonstrate age-specific competency
Provide appropriate treatment in emergency situations
Verify accuracy of physician orders, including medication reconciliation and scheduling of procedures
Ensure completion of pre-operative documentation and consent forms
Administer medications in accordance with IV therapy and safety protocols
Monitor patients for adverse reactions, especially with first-dose medications
Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
Perform additional duties as required

Associate s degree in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact or South Carolina)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 7 days of hire)
Basic cardiac rhythms training (within orientation)
Previous clinical experience considered based on individual background
