Position Overview:

Emerging Tech is seeking a full-time IT/Security Analyst & Data Center Relocation Specialist to support internal IT and cybersecurity operations while also providing hands-on technical support for data center relocation projects at state and federal government facilities nationwide.

When supporting relocation projects, this individual will travel to government facilities to assist with the de-racking, handling, relocation, and re-racking of sensitive IT equipment, including servers, switches, routers, storage devices, and other data center hardware. Relocation work will primarily occur on weekends, with some weekday, evening, and overnight assignments depending on project schedules.

When not supporting relocation projects, the individual will perform IT and security-related responsibilities for Emerging Tech, including Microsoft environment configuration and administration, employee device provisioning and support, IT asset management, cybersecurity support, and IT compliance activities associated with the company’s ISO programs.

Candidates must reside within reasonable proximity to Orlando International Airport (MCO) or Tampa International Airport (TPA), have reliable transportation to and from their respective airport, and be willing and able to travel nationwide on short notice as project requirements arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Center Relocation Support

• Travel nationwide to support data center relocation projects at state and federal government facilities.
• Assist with the de-racking, transport, relocation, and re-racking of data center equipment.
• Safely handle servers, network switches, routers, storage devices, and other sensitive IT hardware.
• Follow established relocation plans and direction from Emerging Tech and applicable government or facility personnel.
• Maintain proper labeling, protection, organization, and accountability of equipment throughout each move.
• Support rack alignment, cable management, equipment placement, and related installation activities.
• Adhere to project schedules, site access requirements, safety protocols, and applicable security procedures.
• Support weekend, evening, overnight, and occasional weekday relocation activities based on project requirements.
• Maintain flexibility to support project travel and schedule changes on short notice.

IT & Security Support

• Support the configuration, deployment, and ongoing management of company laptops, workstations, and other IT devices.
• Configure and maintain Microsoft-based systems, applications, user accounts, permissions, and device settings.
• Provision and issue laptops and other IT equipment to new and existing employees.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for employee hardware, software, account, and access issues.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventories and device records throughout the equipment lifecycle.
• Support user onboarding and offboarding activities, including account access, device provisioning, and equipment recovery.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal cybersecurity controls and IT security practices.
• Support IT compliance activities, including documentation, evidence collection, control implementation, and audit readiness.
• Maintain IT policies, procedures, records, and other documentation necessary to support security and compliance requirements.
• Assist with other IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technical support activities as assigned.

Travel and Schedule Requirements:

• Full-time position combining internal IT/security responsibilities with nationwide project travel.
• Frequent travel to hospital facilities throughout the United States is required.
• Data center relocation assignments will primarily occur on weekends, with occasional weekday, evening, and overnight work.
• Holiday relocation work is not anticipated.
• Travel frequency, dates, and project durations will vary based on Government schedules and project requirements.
• Must reside within reasonable proximity to MCO or TPA.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from MCO or TPA for scheduled project travel.
• Must be comfortable with periodic changes to Government-approved move schedules.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to meet the requirements for a Public Trust background investigation/clearance for work supporting state and federal government customers.
• Experience in information technology, cybersecurity, IT support, systems administration, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience configuring, provisioning, troubleshooting, and supporting laptops and other endpoint devices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft environments, user/device administration, and common enterprise IT tools.
• Previous data center, server room, network infrastructure, telecommunications, or similar technical experience is preferred.
• Experience handling, installing, de-racking, or relocating servers, switches, routers, storage devices, or other enterprise IT equipment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with structured cabling, cable management, rack-mounted equipment, and basic data center terminology.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance, IT policies and procedures, ISO standards, or audit activities is preferred.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift and safely maneuver 50–75 lbs. when supporting relocation projects.
• Ability and willingness to travel nationwide, including on short notice, and work non-standard hours when required.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow technical procedures and documentation.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively within secure government and corporate environments.
