Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years pediatric ICU experience for a night shift position at a children's hospital.

Details

• Pediatric ICU setting with PICU, NICU, and Level I trauma experience preferred
• 12-hour night shifts from 1900-0700
• Every other weekend required
• Flexible scheduling to meet department needs, including floating to affiliated facilities
• Must work at least one winter holiday as needed by the department
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• Specialty equipment includes Vapotherm, Optiflow, Oscillator, and IPV
• Administers continuous albuterol, intermittent MDI, and other nebulized medications

Requirements

• Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• ICU experience required
• PICU, NICU, and Level I trauma experience preferred
• Experience with inhaled nitric oxide, heliox, and ventilator management required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Active GA license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience

Additional Information

• Work as part of a pediatric respiratory care team in a critical care environment
• Facility is nicotine-free and requires nicotine and drug screening for all candidates
• Flu vaccination required for the flu season with no medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration
