(Baton Rouge, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Civil Estimator to prepare project estimates, budgets, and bid proposals while supporting project planning and preconstruction efforts. This position works closely with Business Development, Project Management, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate and competitive project pricing.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals for civil construction projects.

• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project schedules to determine project requirements.

• Solicit, evaluate, and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing.

• Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings as required.

• Coordinate with Project Managers to develop project budgets and preliminary schedules.

• Assist with value engineering, change order pricing, and preconstruction planning.

• Maintain current pricing databases, supplier information, and subcontractor relationships.

• Communicate with owners, engineers, architects, and project stakeholders throughout the estimating process.

Requirements/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Experience with estimating software; HCSS HeavyBid preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Must possess two valid forms of identification.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.

• Ability to review technical documents and construction drawings.

• Occasional travel to project sites and meetings.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
