Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Midwest is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Director of Donor Advancement (DDA) to join our team as we enter an exciting next phase of growth and scale. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced development leader to advance FCA’s mission by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donor relationships across the Midwest region.

Reporting to the Kansas City Executive Director and serving as part of a nine-person regional advancement team, the Director of Donor Advancement will partner closely with regional and state leaders to build and manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects. This role carries ambitious revenue goals and plays a critical part in the region’s trajectory from $25M to $70M in annual giving by 2035—translating vision into investment, strengthening long-term financial sustainability, and expanding FCA’s impact among coaches, athletes, and communities.

Core Responsibilities

• Implement a multi-channel fundraising strategy to achieve annual revenue growth goals.
• Ensure timely and impactful donor recognition and reporting.
• Partner with the local Boards and state leadership to leverage networks and relationships for fundraising opportunities.
• Build and manage a portfolio of 150+ qualified donors/prospects with $25K - $1M+ giving potential.
• Build donor experiences: Design and implement high quality donor centric engagement
• Secure new multi-year pledges and develop existing donors.
• Lead the State / Major Market donor development team
• Submit timely activity reports and revenue forecasts.
• Implement best practices for donor segmentation, pipeline development, and campaign optimization
• Approximately 35% off-site travel

Qualifications

The Director of Donor Advancement must be a leader who resonates both personally and professionally with the mission and vision of FCA. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished leader and fundraiser, skilled at innovative strategy, and ready to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced, high-impact environment with stakeholders from a broad range of sectors.

Additionally, candidates should have the following personal and professional skills, qualities, and competencies.

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrates a clear commitment to FCA’s mission, vision, and values.
• 7+ years of professional fundraising experience at a non-profit organization of similar size and scope to FCA, with a track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals and growing a development program creatively and strategically.
• Demonstrated success securing six and seven-figure gifts from individuals and institutions.
• Proven expertise operating with deep relational integrity to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual and institutional donors and partners.
• Ability to inspire and align a team around a clearly articulated vision and strategy, with an eye toward cohesive team function and professional development of departmental colleagues.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to partner effectively with data and information teams to inform donor strategy and decision-making.
• Experience collaborating with communications colleagues to deploy media and marketing strategies in service of organizational advancement.
• Excellent public presentation skills.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $100,000 and over
