Material Handler- Fullcase Orders

PRIMARY FUNCTION Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently picking merchandise located in all order filling zones and labeling each carton in a manner which promotes ease of identification and scanning. Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7 AM - 3 PM Pay: $18.00 and up SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES * Must be able to accurately pick and label merchandise from primary pick locations. * Must be able to accurately identify units of measure. * Must be able to identify correct merchandise and account for damaged merchandise. * Must be able to accurately prepare orders and transport to the Shipping Department. * Must be able to meet quality and productivity standards. * Ability to take direction from Supervisor. * Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must * Adheres to DC housekeeping guidelines * Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.* * indicates nonessential MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * High School diploma or GED preferred * Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices. * Excellent attendance record * Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed * Good comprehension, organizational, and math skills * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management * Ability to maintain records accurately and demonstrate problem solving skills * Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines * Must be a team player with a can do attitude * Power Equipment certification a plus * Must be able to read, write, and speak English PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Must have the ability to meet physical assessment requirements for this position See Job Analysis and PPE requirement for this position NOTE: When duties and responsibilities change and develop, the job description will be reviewed and subject to changes based on business necessity.
