Registered Nurse - Neuro/Ortho Unit
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in the Neuro/Ortho unit, monitoring and managing patients' needs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The RN will be responsible for using advanced equipment and technologies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage chest tubes and non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips.
- Administer weight-based heparin drips and provide wound care using KCI wound vacs.
- Monitor patient conditions and provide relevant data for EMR through Meditech.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must possess a valid RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Preferred experience in telemetry and proficiency with Meditech software.
