Pathologist

Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking an employed per diem Pathologist to join their group of 24 board-certified pathologists. This role offers the opportunity to work within a comprehensive health system that includes a growing cancer institute and a pathology residency program. The position is based at Danbury Hospital but will also cover Norwalk Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center autopsies. Practice Info Part of a group of 24 board-certified pathologists across the system Testing volume across the system is over 4 million test results per year (inclusive of approximately 50,000 surgical pathology cases) Hosts a pathology residency program at the Danbury Campus and PA students from Quinnipiac University at Norwalk and Danbury campuses Teaching affiliate of the University of Vermont Staff pathologist at a community hospital with cancer program and wide range of clinical services Responsibilities Cover Norwalk Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center autopsies Interact with clinicians and laboratory staff Perform frozen sections Perform cytology interpretations (both GYN and non-GYN) Perform rapid on-site cytology assessments Perform occasional autopsies Compensation Competitive hourly rate Employed W-2 position Salary Range: $225/hr.
