Start Date: ASAP

In collaboration with a prestigious medical institution, our organization is seeking to recruit two Transplant Hepatology physicians to enhance one of the country’s most active liver transplant programs. This recruitment initiative aims to support ongoing growth and introduce a new focus area for two faculty members, expanding total coverage to nine full-time equivalents (FTEs). This role is primarily clinical within a nationally recognized academic transplant center, offering opportunities for involvement in education, program development, and clinical research.

  • Active engagement in: MELD/waitlist management, Transplant Oncology (HCC), Living donor programs, and Immunosuppression protocols.
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient hepatology and transplant care.
  • Participate in a comprehensive transplant call rotation.
  • Conduct endoscopy and colonoscopy as part of the call structure.
  • Offer inpatient consult services and transplant service coverage.
  • Collaborate with GI fellows and multidisciplinary teams.
Team & Support
  • Over 40 inpatient APPs dedicated to abdominal transplant services.
  • Three specialized outpatient APPs for Hepatology and transplant.
  • Established leadership and subspecialty programs, including Viral Hepatitis, Fatty Liver, and Transplant Oncology.
  • Academic appointment with opportunities for involvement in fellowship training and educational activities.
Candidate Requirements
  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology (mandatory) and Transplant Hepatology.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Transplant Hepatology Fellowship.
  • Eligibility for a medical license and DEA in Georgia.
