The Demand Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the unconstrained demand forecast to support the company's SIOP process. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, and Operations to deliver a consensus forecast that drives service, inventory, and financial performance.
As a Demand Planner, you will:
- Develop statistical baseline forecasts using historical data and analytics.
- Maintain rolling 12–24-month forecasts.
- Manage forecast segmentation strategies (ABC, product family, channel, customer).
- Ensure forecast accuracy and bias targets are achieved.
- Lead the Demand Review portion of the monthly SIOP cycle.
- Present risks, opportunities, and forecast changes to cross-functional leadership.
- Support executive SIOP presentations with clear data-driven insights.
- Drive consensus alignment between Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
- Identify upside/downside scenarios and model impact on revenue and capacity.
- Ensure forecast changes are clearly communicated to Supply Planning.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- 3-5+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting.
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of MRP and demand planning concepts.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong understanding of SIOP processes.
- Analytical thinking and scenario planning.
- Attention to detail with a big-picture mindset.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
