Sewist / Tailor / Alterations specialist / Sewing Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our sewing team as a Sewing Machine Operator, producing apparel and dancewear through custom work. You will operate single-needle and overlock machines at an individual production station while collaborating with a small sewing team and cross-functional manufacturing team to balance quality and output. This role offers an advancement path to Senior Operator.

Responsibilities

Operate single-needle and overlock sewing machines.
Stitch apparel and dancewear according to production requirements.
Set up and thread sewing machines, including adjusting thread tension.
Inspect fabric and finished garments for quality and accuracy.
Finish seams to meet construction and appearance standards.
Maintain close attention to detail throughout the production process.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience operating industrial sewing machines.
Experience with garment construction and production workflows.
Knowledge of thread tension adjustment and quality control.
Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
Effective time management in a production environment.
