Warehouse Supervisor Responsibilities Operational Oversight: Manages the daily operations and overall conditions of assigned warehouses to ensure results align with company performance goals and customer expectations. Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Develops and implements hazardous materials management programs, safety protocols, and health programs (such as Spills Response and Chemical Hygiene) to meet legal mandates. Financial Management: Monitors cost controls to achieve financial targets, manages labor utilization to minimize costs, and prepares capital expenditure proposals to upgrade facilities or equipment. Quality & Continuous Improvement: Maintains and audits Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ISO standards while instilling a continuous improvement approach across all warehouse functions. Team Leadership & Coaching: Conducts performance appraisals, develops succession plans, and provides professional leadership to foster a stable work environment and minimize employee turnover. Customer & Business Development: Acts as the primary point of contact for customer issues and assists with business development initiatives, including contract negotiations and customer visits. Facility & Asset Maintenance: Oversees the maintenance of facilities and equipment, identifying when assets are obsolete or require remodeling based on operational needs. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment while holding others accountable, be professional, and able to handle pressure while finding ways to make processes better. Although more initially, individuals should enjoy spending up to 50% of their time on the floor, supporting a first shift operation. Requirements A minimum of a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years of similar warehouse management experience. Experience in warehousing chemical and HAZMAT-related materials. Supervision experience in non-union work environments. Experience working with an ERP or WMS system. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Preferred Skills Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports. Knowledge of QMS systems, specifically ISO, would be ideal. Sara reporting.
