About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Production & Operations Manager who will own the day-to-day execution of production, inventory, and logistics at Barrel RM.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping materials, production runs, packaging, inventory, and shipments organized and moving—from incoming ingredients and components through finished product. You’ll work closely with company leadership and the broader operations team to translate priorities into an executable production plan, anticipate issues, and independently drive things to resolution.

This is a hands-on role in a growing manufacturing environment. On any given day, you might plan a bottling run, make sure materials are ready for production, coordinate a shipment, organize warehouse flow, reconcile inventory, supervise production staff, or solve an unexpected issue that could otherwise slow down a project.

What You’ll Do

• Own day-to-day production execution from incoming materials and components through finished product and outbound shipment.
• Plan and run production, bottling, canning, finishing, and packaging activities, coordinating people, materials, timing, yields, and quality checks.
• Keep inventory and warehouse flow organized and traceable, ensuring spirits, packaging components, and other materials are available when needed.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and shipments, working with vendors, brokers, distributors, and other outside partners.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, movement, transfer, and compliance records.
• Support quality, compliance, and safety requirements across production and warehouse activities.
• Keep production equipment and supporting infrastructure ready for use, identifying issues early and coordinating maintenance or outside support when needed.
• Identify operational gaps and build simple systems and processes that make production, inventory, and logistics more organized, effective, and efficient.

What Success Looks Like

• Production runs are completed safely and on schedule, with accurate yields and any losses or issues clearly documented.
• Materials and inventory are organized, traceable, and ready when production needs them.
• Pickups, deliveries, and shipments are coordinated smoothly with minimal last-minute issues.
• Production, inventory, and compliance records are accurate, complete, and current.
• Equipment, workspaces, and production resources are ready to go, with issues identified and addressed before they disrupt production.
• As Barrel RM grows, production and logistics become increasingly organized, repeatable, and capable of supporting more projects and volume.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse/logistics, operations, or a related hands-on environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple priorities, people, materials, and deadlines with strong organizational skills and follow-through.
• Experience managing inventory, shipments, production activities, or other operational workflows.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with employees and outside partners.
• Comfortable using inventory, production, or other basic tracking systems and learning new tools and processes.
• Able to work full-time on-site.
• Experience in beverage alcohol, brewing, food & beverage, packaging, or another regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
