DishwasherGeneral PurposeThe primary purpose of your job position is performing a variety of physical and manual work involved in thecleaning and storage of kitchen equipment, utensils and dishes and the maintenance of food preparation areas ina clean and sanitary manner.Essential DutiesPrepare Soiled dishes, silverware and similar items for automated cleaning equipment.Operates automated cleaning equipment; adds cleaning solvents or agents and adjusts settings asrequiredHand washes items as required, including pots and pansMaintains sanitary conditions throughout the kitchen and work areasDisposes of trash and rubbish; cleans own work area and any other portions of kitchen as requiredFollows established schedules for special cleaning or pest controlStores and cleans china, glasses and other dinnerware and equipmentFollows sanitation procedures and performs periodic cleaning of china, utensils or other itemsMay perform miscellaneous food service tasks such as delivering trays, assisting in the serving of foodand similar tasksPerforms related work as requiredRequired to wear food service safety gear to include but not limited to; hairnets, sanitary gloves, cutgloves, rubber soled-anti slip protective shoe and safety glasses/gogglesOther duties as assigned by managerMaintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.Supervisory RequirementsThis position has no supervisor responsibilitiesQualificationEducation and/or Experience Must possess, as a minimum, A high school diploma or equivalent.Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmentalregulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, andprocedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information andrespond to questions from managers and employees.Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios andproportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety ofconcrete variables in situations where only limited standardizationexists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished inwritten, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current ServSafe certification required as indicated by State /County law.
