Psychiatric Nurse

Position Title Psychiatric RN – NIGHTS Location & Contract Type In‑Office, Northport, AL, United States – Contract No. of Positions 3 Job Summary / Responsibilities Provide acute inpatient psychiatric nursing care in dedicated adult and geriatric programs. Must float to other units and hospitals, covering 36 or 48 hours per week. Holidays are required; every other weekend. Duties include assessment, medication administration, monitoring, de‑escalation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Licensing & Certifications Registered Nurse, State of Alabama or Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted) AHA BLS or equivalent OR RED CROSS certification CPI certification NURSYS Experience Minimum 2 years (or 18 months considered) with at least 1 year of recent experience in psychiatric nursing. Schedule Start time: 7:00 PM – End time: 7:00 AM (13‑week term). Guaranteed hours: 36. Benefits Parking available; solid navy dress code; EMR Meditech.
