Assistant Property Manager - The Inn & Maguire At Project HOME, every role contributes to our mission of empowering individuals to achieve stability, wellness, and self-determination. As an Assistant Property Manager , you'll support the management and operation of affordable housing communities while helping residents maintain stable, safe, and welcoming homes. This role combines property management administration, compliance support, financial coordination, resident relations, and facility oversight. You'll work closely with Property Managers, Residential Services staff, residents, and vendors to ensure communities remain well-maintained, compliant, and responsive to resident needs. Location: The Inn of Amazing Mercy & Maguire Residence, Philadelphia, PA Schedule: Full-Time | Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM Compensation: Starting at $48,024/yr (based on experience) What You'll Do Support Property Operations Assist with daily operations across assigned affordable housing properties. Support leasing, certifications, recertifications, evictions, and marketing activities. Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, PHFA, Fair Housing, and organizational requirements. Assist with resident move-ins, transfers, and lease administration activities. Support implementation of the Affi​rmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan. Resident Services & Administrative Support Serve as a resource for residents and assist with resident communication efforts. Collaborate with Residential Services staff to support positive resident outcomes. Assist with documentation, reporting, and record maintenance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required. Maintain accurate resident and property records. Support Financial Operations Assist with accounts payable processes, invoices, purchase orders, and financial documentation. Support monthly budget reviews and variance reporting. Assist with annual budget preparation and planning activities. Support rent collection efforts and special claims processing. Help maximize occupancy through effective unit turnover and waitlist management. Assist with Facilities Management Coordinate work orders and assist with preventive maintenance activities. Support timely responses to maintenance concerns and emergency situations. Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs. Monitor unit turnovers and assist with property readiness efforts. Help manage site inventories and property supplies. Support planning for capital improvements and property enhancement projects. What You'll Need Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two (2) years of affordable housing property management experience. Experience working with LIHTC, HUD, and/or PHFA housing programs. Experience utilizing property management software, preferably Yardi. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and administrative abilities. Proficiency with computers and property management technology systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Knowledge of affordable housing regulations and compliance requirements. Strong customer service and resident relations skills. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. What You May Bring While not required, the following qualifications may help you succeed in this role: Experience in supportive housing or nonprofit housing environments. Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and affordable housing compliance. Experience with resident certifications and recertifications. Experience supporting budgeting and financial reporting processes. Experience coordinating maintenance vendors and contractors. Experience managing resident files and compliance documentation. Familiarity with Philadelphia affordable housing programs and resources.
