The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.We offer a broad range of employment opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health of people in the region.Position Summary: Gather and compile Avigilon camera reports and evidence. Monitor the camera images continuously so as to assist with the prevention and detection of crime regularities such as but not limited to theft reduction, asset protection, security investigations and providing evidence. Watching both live and recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behavior, monitor the movements of vehicles, patient, staff and visitors. Report any suspicious movements to the Team Leader and/or contacting the authorities when necessary. Monitor for duress alarms, door alarms, fire alarm activation, doors not locking or working properly.Responsible for operating and maintaining surveillance equipment (cameras, cables, storage unit, display unit/ monitor, keyboard), track preventative maintenance, and report malfunctioning camera equipment.Answering security calls, transfer as needed. Act as dispatch during a hospital code event/ incident (disaster) radio and/or telephone. Assist Emergency Management Coordinator with notification to proper authorities and YKHC Leadership. Facilitate communications within the security department. Provide support for other employees in the office.Collecting and counting all department performance improvement data. Maintaining effective record keeping of security logs.Keep in compliance with all hospital policies and procedures, particularly relating to patient confidentiality.Position Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalentNo experience and/or prior security monitor experience recommendedHigh level of customer service and a positive approach.Good interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skillsKnowledge of computer systems.YKHC Cisco Phone System.
