As we modernize our operations and harness the power of data and artificial intelligence, we are looking for a motivated and curious Junior AI Developer to join our growing AI team. In this role, you will contribute to a broad range of AI and software development initiatives — including learning and building within the C3.AI enterprise platform — while also working on data pipelines, ML integrations, APIs, and other AI-powered solutions that drive real impact across our manufacturing operations. What You'll Do Learn and contribute to development on the C3.AI platform, including working with the C3 Type System, data modeling, and building application components Participate in the development, testing, and deployment of AI and ML models across C3.AI and other platforms used by the team Write Python and JavaScript/TypeScript code to support data pipelines, application logic, REST APIs, and AI service integrations Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from enterprise and industrial sources Support the development of AI-powered features and tools that surface insights to business users and operational teams Collaborate with senior engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into working solutions Contribute to cloud-based development work across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP as project needs require Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards and support team knowledge sharing Continuously build your skills through hands-on project work, mentorship, and engagement with both C3.AI and broader AI/ML tooling Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) Working knowledge of Python — ability to write clean, readable code for data processing, scripting, or application development Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript — comfortable with modern syntax and willing to learn new frameworks Foundational understanding of SQL and relational database concepts Understanding of REST APIs — how they are structured, consumed, and integrated into applications Familiarity with object-oriented programming and basic software design principles Exposure to machine learning concepts — either through coursework, self-study, or personal projects Strong desire to learn enterprise AI platforms, cloud environments, and modern development practices Collaborative, communicative, and comfortable working through ambiguity with the support of a team Preferred Qualifications Any hands-on exposure to C3.AI or similar enterprise AI/ML platforms is a strong plus Familiarity with ML libraries or frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch Experience with or academic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Exposure to data engineering concepts — ETL pipelines, data ingestion, transformation, or orchestration Experience with version control using Git and basic familiarity with CI/CD concepts Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or similar big data processing tools Coursework or project work involving time-series data, IoT data, or industrial datasets Interest in manufacturing, industrial operations, or IoT domains Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in a software development or data-focused role What We Offer Structured onboarding and mentorship from experienced AI engineers and data scientists Exposure to a wide range of AI technologies and use cases — not limited to a single platform or tool Dedicated time and resources for learning the C3.AI platform and other emerging AI tools Opportunity to work on meaningful, real-world AI problems in an industrial manufacturing environment A collaborative team culture that values curiosity, growth, and continuous learning Competitive compensation and benefits package A clear path for growth as our digital and AI capabilities continue to expand
