Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Friday–Monday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning across a 28-bed IRF and 383-bed acute care hospital
• Manage a caseload of approximately 4 patients per day on the IRF unit and 8–12 patients per day in acute care
• Participate in team conferences and provide family training as part of the care continuum
• Recommend and utilize adaptive devices and equipment, including Vector, LiteGait, and ADL Apartment therapy gym resources
• Document patient care using the Meditech EMR system
• Maintain active PT license and active BLS certification throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida
• Active BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Willingness and ability to work on an IRF unit
• Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with permanent hospital staff

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior hospital and/or inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) experience highly preferred
• Experience with stroke and/or neurological patient populations
• Flexible, collaborative team player comfortable working across multiple units within a large facility
