Job Overview

Rocky Mountain Protective Service Inc. is hiring dependable and professional Security Screening Officers in Greeley, Colorado.

This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure facility by screening individuals entering the building, monitoring entrances, identifying prohibited items, and providing professional assistance to employees and visitors.

This is a good opportunity for candidates with security, customer service, military, public safety, or similar experience.

• Screen individuals entering the facility.

• Operate walk-through and handheld metal detection equipment.

• Inspect bags, packages, and personal belongings as required.

• Identify and prevent prohibited items from entering secured areas.

• Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned security areas.

• Maintain awareness of activity around the screening area.

• Provide clear and courteous instructions to visitors.

• Respond appropriately to alarms, incidents, and security concerns.

• Contact supervisors or appropriate personnel when assistance is required.

• Maintain accurate incident and activity reports.

• Follow established security, safety, and emergency procedures.

• Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude while interacting with the public.

• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Security or customer service experience preferred.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.

• Ability to stand and work at a screening station for extended periods.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Must be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time.

• Must be able to successfully complete required background and employment screening.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must be able to complete required job-specific training.

Previous experience in security, access control, screening, corrections, military service, law enforcement, public safety, or customer-facing environments is helpful but not required for otherwise qualified candidates.
