Area Production Manager

Assistant Area Construction ManagerWe are looking for an Area Production Manager to join an industry-leading organization to drive Highway Construction-related projects throughout a key region. This organization is very stable and takes care of its people, if you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please reach out to us to learn more.Responsibilities:Plan operating schedules to meet sales demand with maximum efficiency and equipment utilization.Prepare reports on production, client, budgets, etc. for use in corporate business planning.Prepare and implement mine plans at all locations to maximize reserve life and minimize overall production cost.Establish a culture where safety is the number one priority at all locations.Schedule maintenance of equipment and/or plants to insure maximum production capabilities with high availability.Research and develop new ways to cut costs and improve production.Ensure compliance with corporate policies and objectives, including safety, personnel, insurance.Maintain internal relationships with sales personnel, quality personnel, safety and environmental staff, managers of other operating units and accounting personnel.Maintain external relationships with vendors, governmental agencies, outside salesmen, and customers.Requirements:Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards.A Bachelors' degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering or similar is preferred but not required.5+ years of experience managing operations and/or engineering as well as significant experience in aggregate processing procedures and surface quarrying and underground mining.Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus.Knowledge of P&L statements and an understanding of accounting principles.Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.Basic surveying and mapping skills are required.Ability to develop strong leadership at all levels.Working knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
