Maintenance Technician II – Full-Time

Pay: Starting at $23/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM, some weekends as necessary

Location: Independent Living - Sagewood

Vaccination: FLU Vaccination required

Joining Our Maintenance Team, You Will Be Responsible For Maintaining All Aspects Of The Physical Plant Such As Preventative Maintenance, Routine Servicing, Seasonal Repairs, Plumbing Repairs, And Changes Of Building Equipment. You Will Have The Added Benefit Of Face-To-Face Interaction With Our Residents Routinely While Completing Assigned Work Orders!

Who You Are:

• Someone who has a valid driver's license and clean driving record (this position drives a golf cart)
• Provides excellent customer service to residents
• Work as a team member in a structured working environment.
• Complete work on time and done right.
• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems, general maintenance processes and methods
• Proficiency in HVAC and plumbing
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field a plus
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) desired
• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and schematics

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Moderate to heavy physical effort; may be exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain); work in area with high voltage electricity, hazardous equipment and moving parts; work on rooftop and other high places; ability to set up and climb ladders safely with tools and equipment necessary for assigned work; must be able to lift 50 pounds; must be able to walk, stand and stoop for an extended period of time (over 80% of the time); exposure to a variety of chemicals and dust daily; may be exposed to the HBV and HIV viruses.
