Job Summary: Location: Nebraska Methodist Hospital Address: 8303 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE ***Will possibly work at Methodist Women's Hospital, 707 N. 190th Plaza, Elkhorn, NE Student Rad Tech will start beginning to middle of September depending on limited licensure. Work Schedule: This is a casual/prn position. Casual employees work on an ‘as needed’ basis to meet the needs of the business. Shifts may vary from week to week. Will also be required to be available to work weekends and holidays. Performs limited diagnostic radiographic procedures under the supervision of a Nebraska licensed Medical Radiographer registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions 1. Performs limited diagnostic radiographic procedures within scope of license. Radiographic procedures must not include CT, administration of contrast media, fluoroscopy or mammography. 2. Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner. 3. Provides patient education and responds to patient and customer concerns. 4. Complete documentation of patient x-ray record and Quality Control processes. 5. Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction. Will also be required to be available to work weekends and holidays. Job Description: Job Requirements Education Current enrollment at the senior level in a degree program of Radiologic Technology. Experience N/A License/Certifications Temporary Medical Radiographer (RAD.TEMP) license or Limited Radiologic Technologist (RAD.LIM) license for work state required. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
