Masters Level Inpatient Social Services

Job Summary The Mental Health Professional is responsible for delivering exceptional, patient-focused care by providing supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, offering psycho-education, leading process groups, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic counseling sessions using evidence-based interventions in one-on-one and group therapy. Responsibilities Conduct one‑on‑one, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups. Develop treatment plans and attend treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis. Assess environment and patient’s safety status and report/respond to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition. Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement). Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge. Conduct post‑discharge follow‑up as indicated. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Master’s Degree – REQUIRED. Provisional Licensure may be REQUIRED – LPC‑A/LMSW/ETC.
