Summary: Provides direct patient care in the Women's Services Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to: Director or Manager of Women's Services How You'll Contribute Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs. Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. These are just a few examples of the many benefits we offer to you Qualifications & Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license) Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required) ACLS and PALS (preferred) Minimum of six months to one year of hospital experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery or Medical/Surgical setting is required. Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (required) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required) Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required.
