Position Summary : The Charge Registered Nurse (VCN) is an onsite leadership position located at our Virtual Command Center in Brentwood, TN . In this role, the nurse oversees daily virtual care operations and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality remote nursing care. Using virtual care technology, the VCN supports patients across a wide range of remote care settings, including hospitals, emergency departments, critical care units, skilled nursing facilities, and in-home environments. Working in partnership with clinical teams at the originating sites, the VCN serves as an expert nurse on the patient care team. They actively deliver patient care, translate evidence-based practices, offer patient and family education, and provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring to fellow nurses. Additionally, the VCN coordinates care across disciplines, collaborating with the originating site and other remote clinical team members. Key Responsibilities : Demonstrates acute and/or critical care level skills and knowledge Utilizes critical thinking skills to diagnose clinical problems and defineappropriate interventions. Exhibits effective English written and verbal communication skills Proficient in windows-based computer operations Workingknowledge of computer documentation and navigation systems(Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.) Possessesspecial skills/equipment including EKG Certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Holds a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers Preferredadditionalcertificationsin the area ofspecialty Completes unit-specific orientation to ensure familiarity with the specific critical care unit Requirements : 5+ years of current experience in acute or critical care Criticaland acute cardiaccare experience 1+yearsofleadershipexperience Implement nursingprocess, including assessments, care planning, and coordination based on evidence-based protocols Prioritize patient advocacy, proactive monitoring, and safe, efficient, patient-centered care Delegate and supervise support staff to ensure high-quality patient care Knowledge and Skills : Demonstratedproficiencyin acute and/or critical care skills Strong understanding of telemetry monitoring, policies, and procedures Ability to think critically in diagnosing clinical problems and defining interventions Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Proficiencyin computer documentation and navigation Education : Valid RN licensure Associateor bachelor’s degree in nursing from an acceptable and recognized institution Competitive hourly rate PTO 401k Continuing Education (subject to eligibility requirements).
