About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute hemodialysis experience. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BLS required. ACLS and CDN or CNN preferred. Must-Have: Recent acute hemodialysis experience with Fresenius equipment and peritoneal dialysis experience with Baxter equipment. Description: Registered Nurse position available in a dialysis unit. The role requires expertise in acute hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Experience with cycler is not required for day shift, but may be beneficial. Night shift staff must be competent with cycler and capd. Call-offs or additional time-off requests may lead to cancellations. Report any changes in scheduling promptly. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Unit operates with a patient ratio of 1:1-2 for hemodialysis treatments. Candidates may be assigned to tasks within various departments depending on census. The dialysis unit consists of 9 stations and additional isolation stations. Patients will be transported using specific transport requests. Must have the ability to manage patients on ventilators and other critical care situations. Staffing and scheduling involve self-scheduling practices. Modules for training must be completed prior to starting the position. This position requires flexibility to float within the facility as needed. All staff must adhere to emergency procedures during catastrophic events.
