Interventional Special Procedures Technologist

Functions under the direction of the Chief Technologist and Vascular Institute Manager. The interventional special procedures technologist assists with providing safe, age appropriate care to the patient by performing all exams provided by the department according to department procedures. The technologist has the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study. He/she is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of the equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases. The technologist is able to independently perform job functions. He/she sets up the equipment to provide imaging service and positions patient for the procedure. Able to perform procedures in both the IR, Vascular Hybrid and Neuro-interventional setting.

Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am-5:30pm 4-10hr shifts per week On call- yes, 30min response time. Max 14 day/30 day schedule Holidays- 1 major and/or minor based on dept needs Weekend- on call requirement 1-2 weekend per 30 day schedule Scrubs are provided Additional: Ability to float between Vascular Institute, Interventional Radiology, Admit/Recovery, Cath lab and EP preferred. ARRT-CV - ARRT Cardio Vascular Interven or ARRT-R - ARRT Radiography or ARRT-VI - ARRT Vascular Intervention Rad or RCIS - Registered CVI Specialist BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Preferred or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor Upon Hire Preferred Minimum 3 years experience in Interventional Special Procedures either in IR, cardiac or vascular hybrid setting.
