Chief Financial Officer

Description:

1ST Gateway Credit Union is hiring a Chief Financial Officer. You will lead accounting and finance for a $170 million community financial institution, report directly to the CEO, and sit on the Executive Team.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

Lead all accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Prepare and file required regulatory reports accurately and on time.

Own general ledger integrity and account reconciliation, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Oversee accounting performed across departments and validate that it is accurate and complete.

Manage liquidity, capital, investments, and interest rate risk.

Present financial results to the Board of Directors.

Work directly with external auditors and regulators.

Requirements

Banking or credit union experience is required.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

5+ years in accounting or finance at a bank or credit union.

Experience with regulatory reporting for a financial institution.

CPA is a plus, not a requirement.

Must be bondable.

Compensation and benefits

Salary commensurate with experience.

401(k) with a 7% credit union contribution. Not a match. The credit union contributes 7% of wages, and you can defer on top of that.

Annual bonus opportunity of up to 4% of wages.

An additional performance-based bonus for this role, tied to credit union results.

Health coverage through Wellmark with prescription card. You pay 5% of the individual premium.
