Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of nursing experience required License: Must have an active nursing license Certifications: BCLS, ACLS Must-Have: Trauma Level I experience required Travelers must be flexible with weekend requirements Willingness to float to different levels of care including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU Description: This is a nursing position focused on the close monitoring of patients with cardiovascular diagnoses. Responsibilities include caring for patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures. Nurses are expected to manage IV drips, perform sheath pulls, and start IVs. Charge nurse responsibilities may be required depending on operational needs. Nurses will interact with nursing students as part of a teaching facility environment. Floating within the hospital or to affiliate locations is mandatory for all travelers. Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams are essential for patient care. Candidates must have experience in cardiac telemetry and be comfortable interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. Two supervisor references are required.
