Low Voltage Technician – Fire Alarm Installation

Location: Florida
Job Type: Full-Time | Long-Term
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

We are currently hiring Low Voltage Technicians with experience installing fire alarm systems for commercial construction projects.

Job Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test fire alarm systems and low-voltage wiring
Run and pull low-voltage cable through commercial buildings
Install fire alarm devices including smoke detectors, pull stations, horns/strobes, modules, and notification appliances
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and fire alarm drawings
Perform device installation, wire termination, labeling, and basic troubleshooting
Work with conduit, cable tray, J-hooks, and other cable support systems
Assist with system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Follow OSHA and job-site safety requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Low Voltage Technician, Fire Alarm Installer, Fire Alarm Technician, or similar position
Commercial fire alarm installation experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and follow installation drawings
Familiarity with low-voltage wiring and fire alarm components
Ability to use hand tools and basic testing equipment
Must be dependable and able to work independently or as part of a crew
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 is a plus
NICET certification or fire alarm certifications are a plus, but not required for all positions
