Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using an array of standardized assessments as well as observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans targeting specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs, blending both short-term and long-term objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise a seamless care approach.
• Educate patients and their families to empower progress and communication outside the confines of therapy sessions.
• Support inpatient speech therapy assessments as needed, ensuring continuity and comprehensive care throughout the recovery voyage.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation that meets all state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay engaged with advancements in the field via professional development and collaborative exchanges with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• If not ASHA-certified, completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required.

Certifications

• Active licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
