Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room environment for diverse surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver efficient perioperative care from pre-op to post-op recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Execute perioperative nursing interventions for orthopedic, urology, vascular, and general surgeries.
• Assist surgeons and technicians during sterile procedures, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgical processes.
• Maintain surgical equipment and ensure adherence to infection control standards.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately in the medical documentation system.
• Float to other surgical units if required, providing support to diverse teams.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of OR experience, including orthopedics major joint procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using surgical equipment such as Stryker ORTHO systems, robotic assistants, and navigation technology.
• Possess BLS certification; additional certifications in surgical technology or perioperative nursing are a plus.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• Be flexible with call shifts, weekend rotations, and adaptable to floating policies.
