Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role is based in Rome, NY. The Registered Nurse provides direct, high-quality nursing care to patients receiving dialysis and other kidney-related treatments, including assessing patient status, monitoring vital signs, and administering prescribed therapies. Daily responsibilities include coordinating care with nephrologists and interdisciplinary team members, documenting care accurately in patient records, and supporting adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards. The role involves educating patients and families about kidney disease, treatment plans, and self-care practices, while promoting a safe, respectful, and patient-centered environment. The Registered Nurse also participates in quality improvement activities and collaborates with colleagues to enhance clinical outcomes and the overall patient experience. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York and graduation from an accredited nursing program. Clinical experience in acute or chronic care settings; prior dialysis or nephrology experience is strongly preferred. Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of evidence-based nursing interventions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients and families. Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in documentation. Commitment to patient safety, infection control practices, and adherence to regulatory and organizational policies. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus. Comfort with using electronic health records and healthcare technology to support patient care and clinical workflows.
