As a Medical Assistant II within Richmond County Health Department, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Starting Salary: $38,000.00

Job Responsibilities


Assist nurses with vital signs and input into EMR
Assist lab with blood draws to ensure smooth workflow
Assist CNM with CLIA duties
gathering monthly documents from clinical space for compliance
Assist with all health department staff in maintaining training documents
Assist with ordering of clinical supplies
Assist warehouse clerk with supplies and ensuring all expiration dates are current
Assist with other assigned duties

All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate/GED


Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant Program (AANA, or CCNA) accreditations Phlebotomy certification


Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year working actively as a phlebotomist
Experience in a high volume lab/ clinical environment
Experience preferred with drawing blood from children
Experience with working with EMR's
Experience with using Office 365.
